The "suspended" effects in this movie ain't too good. Look for 1) safety wires holding up William Shatner, when Spock catches Kirk; 2) the wire holding up the cat dancer's tail; 3) the wires attached to Kirk's legs to help Laurence Luckinbill "lift" William Shatner with Vulcan strength; and 4) the metal bar that is visible in several shots attached to Leonard Nimoy as Spock rockets up the turbo shaft
