In the scene where Meg Ryan is home sick with a cold, Tom Hanks comes to visit with flowers. As he is in the kitchen finding a vase, Meg is sitting at the table in the room in front of him, and there are crumpled dirty kleenex in front of her. Then Tom comes into the room and there is a wider camera shot and the kleenex is gone. There was no time for Meg to throw them away she never moved from the table and was in the camera's view at all times.
