Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope - Fake People
1) Go to the very end of the movie.
2) Notice that the people are a little stiff (This is easy to miss.)
3) The reason they are stiff is because some are cardboard cutouts!!

Not so. They are *actually* cardboard cutouts. Yes, there was some matte work in SW (not as much as later movies) but this particular scene was, indeed, cardboard cutouts. It happens.

close to cardboard. There in fact a matte painting (painted on glass)alot cheaper than hiring extras.
