The time-line on page xviii says that C-3PO was activated 112 years before Episode 4: A New Hope began. Also it says Anakin Skywalker was born 55 years before Episode 4: A New Hope began. How did Anakin make Threepio?

I have no name writes:: This isn't a slipup, this chronology was correct until George Lucas, in his infinite wisdom, decided to add the plot twist of Anakin creating C-3PO, which screwed up the whole chronology of the series. This was almost as bad as his decision to add Jar Jar and the whole "midi-chlorian" concept.; 15 of 27 people found this comment helpful. Did you?

While the books may have been approved by Lucasfilm, it doesn't mean they fit in with the movies.
