Near the end of the movie when Mel goes to see the young mail girl he runs into an old oriental woman with an umbrella. He is holding the umbrella as they walk to a back ally. When they look down the ally and the camera is on Mel and the old woman, from the front, the woman’s hand is on the very bottom, curved part, of the umbrella and Mel’s hand is a few inches above hers. Then the shot moves to behind them and now the woman’s hand is above Mel’s hand, but Mel’s hand is in about the same place it was. Then Mel let’s go of the umbrella.
