Alien Resurrection - Nothing but Net
Fast forward to when Sigourney Weaver is shooting the one-handed backwards basketball shot....after she releases the ball and it falls through the net and drops to the ground pause it. In the background a couple of people's eyes get really big and a man in the background jumps in the air in joy. This is because she had tryed the shot over and over to see if she could possibly make it; so that producers would not have to do the shot by computer technology....when it went in everybody was very surprised.

I read the book on the making of Alien Resurrection and it reads that Sigourney Weaver spent several weeks practicing for the scene, which is one of my faves, and actually made the basketball shot in the first take, Ron Perlman was so surprised he broke character and cheered.

And it didn't take her loads of tries, it took her two. Hence the startled expressions.
