Buffy: The Vampire Slayer - Quick Change?
About halfway through this episode Spike, who is living with Xander, ruins his clothes when he trys to wash them and is given a hideous shirt and shorts of Xander's to wear until he can get more. When the remaining members of the Scooby Gang head to the school to help Buffy it can be seen that Spike is still wearing the shorts. However, when they arrive at the school and Spike pretends to be an old friend of Xander's (with a rather unconvincing accent) he is wearing blue jeans - where'd he get them and when did he have time to change on the walk over?

Before the gang head to the school, they go over to Giles house. It is therefore possible that Spike borrowed a pair of jeans from Giles so that he did not have to wear the shorts.

That is entirly possible, but if that is infact true then why was he seen wearing the shorts on the walk over to the school?

The fact is, when there's time missing between scenes we can't be sure of anything. Spike may well have stolen the pants off someone's washing line to avoid wearing the shorts, he is evil!

He wasn't seen on the walk over to the school wearing the shorts, in a shot of the high school front you can see the four in the bottom left of the screen, Spike is wearing jeans.

Just a comment about the "unconvincing accent." James Marsters doesn't really have a British accent; he fakes one for Spike. So, in that scene, James is doing a fake British accent doing a fake American accent! Not so unconvincing anymore, is it!
