Mallrats - Forgot to Be Deleted
watch the scene where T.S. is talking to Brandi's dad. Watch for when Brodie comes over and the dad says something about them being neighbors.
Well, in a deleted scene (you can view them on dvd) Brodie tells the press he is the fathers neighbor so that he could appear on tv.
They most of forgotten about that line.
Special Requirements:
a DVD player to see deleted scenes, a vcr to see the mistake

I guess you could consider this a slip up but its not really if you think about it, because smith knew that it was in there and he knew that it wouldn't cause any lack of continuity in the plot so why even bother spending money to re-shoot the scene?

This doesn't affect anything...you could interpret it literally, and assume that Mr. Svenning and Brodie are, in fact, neighbors!

It is explained in the DVD commentary session that they neglected to remove everything pertaining to the deleted scenes.

You can watch the movie on DVD too. You don't have to have a VCR to see the "slip-up" that they tell you about in the deleted scenes section.
