In the scene of the movie where Chet bursts in on Wyatt and his girlfriend when they are sleeping the morning after the party, he hits both of them on the head with his shotgun, but you can see the barrel bend slightly, revealing that the gun is fake.
Instead of looking for these small slip-ups, why not look at it in this way, the whole film was a slip-up. I mean, the guys even gave the computer woman intelligence by scanning a picture of Einstein! Surely you can't expect many consistencies with a story line like this!
