When they all climb out of the Green River, shivering and freezing, Humphrey isn't there. (He isn't supposed to be). Bell asks Packer, "Are there any more rivers between here and Breckenridge?" and Packer answers, "No, just the Colorado."

A short time later, Humphrey floats up, obviously not having heard Bell and Packer talking about the rivers.

After crossing the Colorado River a few scenes later, a very grumpy Humphrey quotes Bell and Packer's conversation. And yet, how could he if he wasn't there...??? Spooky.
