Gore, Al - Deeply Religious?
In a speech by Al Gore (I don't remember which one) he stated that he has always been a deeply religious man and that his religion is important to him. To emphasize his point he stated that John 16:3 is his favorite Bible verse. I believe he may have meant John 3:16 which reads "For God so loved the world, he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life." John 16:3 reads "They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me." Evidently neither he or his speech writers know their Bible well enough to realize their HUGE mistake.

Hehe that's hilarious...and didn't you hear (I don't know if its true, but I hope so) that Gore writes his own speeches? Makes sense, eh?

Ahem. It's an urban legend that's been disproven. Isn't so. http://www.snopes.com, click database search link, search for Al Gore. You'll find that most of the bone-headed things that have been attributed to him (and in all fairness, much of what has been contributed to several other politicians) are just stuff someone makes up and distributes in email chain letters because it makes for a good story.
