During certain episodes, I know Devilfish is one, watch Mike when they are in the theater. Occasionally, Mike will turn his head to the side and you can see a microphone in front of his mouth.

MST3K Fanatic writes:: You have to take into consideration that MST3K, judging by the rest of the set, did not have a huge budget to edit out small things such as microphones and the sticks used to manipulate the robots. Also in the opening when they show Mike/Joel in the theater with the bots they (the bots)are painted but actually the bots for the theater scenes were painted black so they will show up better on the blue screen.; 5 of 7 people found this comment helpful. Shawn Downing writes:: If you want to see an unwanted microphone in a MST3K, watch 'Mitchell' with the infamous Joe Don Baker. In a scene where he's talking about arranging a deal, I believe it was right after they ate, Joe Don stands up and there is a boom mike.
