Top Gun - For Rent Sign
The scene where Maverick goes to Charlie's house - when he arrives on his motorcycle, you can see the front lawn of Charlie's house, and there is nothing there. Then when Maverick is getting on his motorcycle to leave, the "For Rent" sign is already up. But here's the thing - during their conversation during dinner, she said she was going for a promotion that she HADN'T GOTTEN yet! So why would she have that sign put up if she didn't know if she was leaving yet or not???

This "slip-up" is not visible in the full screen version of the movie. After 24 years (I never saw Top Gun in the theater), I watched it today for the first time in widescreen. I then had to go back to my old VHS to verify it not there. Also, the scenes of Maverick leaving Charlie's house from dinner and leaving her vacant house later in the movie are the same take. (Hence the "For Rent" sign in the earlier scene.
