Law & Order - Trial Held on Thanksgiving Day
In an episode of Law & Order, the date shown for the trial that they were attending in N.Y. was Thursday, November 23. This would make it the fourth Thursday in November, which is always Thanksgiving Day, no matter what the year.

Actually it is the last Thursday in November that is Thanksgiving, and if it was the 23rd of Nov, then it is possible for there to be another Thursday.

From 1789 until 1938, Thanksgiving was held on the last Thursday of November. Then in 1939-1941, Thanksgiving was held on the 3rd Thursday of the Month. From 1942 on, Thanksgiving is held on the 4th Thursday of the Month. So if the episode is before 1942, November 23 would not have been Thanksgiving Day
