In the scene where Drew Barrymore is talking to the killer when he has just rang the doorbell, if you look out the window, you can clearly see that her boyfriend is out there talking to the killer.
um, is it possible that this is a plot device? One of those things that you think about at the end of the movie when you've found out who did everything and you go "ohhhhhh riiiiight"? I know I did. When I got to the end of the movie and found there'd been two people involved, I thought about that scene that had bothered me and realized that had been the first clue in the movie. If you watch the movie very carefully, you can see several little things like this that all hint at multiple killer/conspirators. I don't really see this as a slipup but rather as a sneaky little plot device to make you think "oh hey wait a sec... " Don't you people watch The X-Files? Methinks some people need a couple of lessons in the art and science of weaving subtlety into your work...

This is not a slipup. There are TWO killers therefore Drew can be speaking to one and Steve can be speaking to the other. Think plot device........ think FRONT doorbell ringing and a mere three seconds later chair comes crashing through the sliding BACK doors. Very fast moving killer?? Nope just two killers.

I saw Steve out the window but I did not see the killer, and I think you were supposed to be able to see Steve. But if you are right, then Steve i probably sitting there tied up while the killer talks to Casey on the phone.

Not only were there 2 killers but they knew all their victims so why wouldn't they talk to each other seeing as they all seemed to hang out in the same circle?
