When Jamie Foxxs' character, "Steamin'" Willie Beamon, runs for a potential TD late in the movie, the announcers question the TD saying "I think he lost it!", meaning they surmised he fumbled the ball in the end-zone thus nullifying the score. However, NFL rules state that as soon as the football crosses the plane of the end-zone, a TD is scored, regardless of what happens after. Therefor, the TD would stand regardless of the supposed fumble making the announcer comment foolhardy and needless.
