In the episode where Homer and Marge are telling the kids about how they met, pay close attention to the scene where Marge is holding a rally and eventually burns a pair of panties. In the crowd people are yelling things such as, "Go Marge," or, "Bouvier, Bouvier!" At this point of time this was her last name and she obviously wasn't married to Homer. Near the end of the segment you can hear someone shout, "Go Simpson!" Homer wasn't around and Marge certainly did not have his last name. This is quite odd.
