Gladiator - Grinning Barbarian
The very first long shot of the battle of Germania where the barbarians and Maximus' men collide. They clash, and amidst the first bloody moments there is a burly man holding a staff and smiling gleefully at the camera as swords are shoved into people's heads around him.

He's a Barbarian! They go into a kind of mad frenzy when they fight. Their totally unstoppable. The guy was just giddy from the killing, etc...
