When Kyle Reese places the homemade bombs in the back of the truck the T-800 is driving, it explodes and we see Sarah duck by a garbage tub. Seconds later the truck blows up again. (I have an older version of the movie, so I'm not sure if they released a new version and fixed this.)
hello????? It was a small bomb. Yes there are two explosions. Think about it. Small bomb goes off. Then surprise, surprise, the truck, BEING FILLED WITH FLAMABLE MATERIALS, gets superheated and explodes. This is done correctly.

I agree - no slip up here. Many pictures use multiple angles to show their "Big Explosion" or stunt. That's all that happened here. Completely intentional.
