Star Trek Voyager - The Unused Oxygen Mask
When the electromagnetic life-form takes over Voyager and all the crew leave except Captain Janeway. The life-form tries to kill Captain Janeway by venting nebular gas into the chamber she is in and she cannot escape because there are forcefields. However, she is wearing an oxygen mask while she is suffocating. Logic would seem to dictate that she put it on instead of suffocating from poisonous gas.

EXACTLY. She was trying to show the alien that she was willing to die rather than let it dictate things... She INTENTIONALLY isn't using it. D2.

Actually this is not even a slip-up. When the alien took over the ship and everyone left except Captain Janeway she was trying to tell the alien that if it killed her it could not operate and maintain the ship. That is why she didn't use the mask.

Janeway did not use the mask even thow it was working (7 of 9 and Janeway used it to get to some of the other decks) coz she was trying to show the life form it can not make her its slave so its not a slip up .

I you watched the whole series, in the episode "Year of Hell" (Both Parts) you find Voyager hidden in a nebula. Janeway and Harry are on a deck flooded with toxic, pink, nebula gas. They are however, wearing oxygen masks. Even with the masks on, Janeway and Harry damage their lungs. Therefore, even if Janeway put on her mask, eventually, she would have been killed with the mask on. Maybe, she realized this and didn't even bother.

Plus, with all the stuff not working on Voyager, for all we know the mask didn't work!
