Toward the end of the movie in the big action sequence, Cameron Poe handcuffs Cyrus to a moving vehicle. But then it crashes, and Cyrus comes flying off onto the road. You can't do that!!
what happen was that cyrus was hancuffd to the ladder part of the fire-engine and when he went through the big glass walkway, i think going through that broke his cuffs, he did take a hard bast through the walkway afterall
The body is the weakest part of the metal to metal to flesh combination his arm/hand would have been ripped off at the sudden stop from that speed, and remember its not the speed that kills you its the sudden stop.
How many thing could have possibly happened people? How bout the part of the ladder he was cuffed to broke and then he went flying off of it? The cuff could have easily been run through to it's open state. Too many possibilities for a actual slip-up....think it through next time.
If the other end of the cuffs was open when Cyrus comes off the truck, this is a slipup, or Poe didn't cuff him properly, because handcuffs are (necessarily) strong. Like Tim said above, a persons wrist is the softest link and in that situation you would sooner lose your hand than the cuff breaking at the other end.
It's possible that the ladder came off, but then it would still be stuck to the handcuffs- which I don't think it was. :)
If Poe only clicked the first couple of teeth on the cuff arm, it could have popped open. Although hand cuffs are strong they can be broken if the arm is not pushed in far enough.
Maybe Cyrus still had the pick that he used to open the cuffs in the beginning of the film. Considering his intelligence, I could see him being able to open the cuffs while heading for certain disaster.
