At the end where the two kids are being attacked by a "throat" in the wall, Carol Anne's mother tries to get into their room, is attacked by a ghost, then she tries leaving the house, when she touches the door, she is shocked again and flies a ridiculous distance into the entry way. When you see her fly behind the staircase, you can also see a pair of hands throwing her the extra distance.
