It's quite obvious that when traveling on the road and they stop for Rachael to use the bathroom, the open field has a small creek running through it. However, when she reaches the water and sees the bodies floating down, the creek is now a swiftly moving river about 20-30 yards wide. Back at the car you can see again that it is nothing but a creek (and no bodies!)
