In the episode, "Take the Deviled Eggs..." when Lorelai and Rory go to Sherry's baby shower in Boston, Sherry asks Lorelai what parenting magazines she read when she was pregnant, or something like that. Anyways, Lorelai mentions that she never read any book, and when Sherry asked her where she learned how to be a parent from, Lorelai remarks, "For Keeps." She's refering to a Molly Ringwald movie. Here's where she slipped up...Rory would have supposedly been born in 1985 or 1986, For Keeps came out in 1988. So, when she saw that, Rory would have already been a toddler, wouldn't she? I understand the character Lorelai Gilmore is a die hard Molly Ringwald fan, but this doesn't make sense.
