In the episode "Dear Richard and Emily", Emily mentions to Lorelai that she doesn't own VCR or doesn't know how to use one, but later in the series, in the episode "Ballrooms and Biscotti" Emily asks Rory to watch ballroom dancing competitions and remarks that she has been taping them 1978. Could she have been lying to Lorelai? We may never know...
