In the scene where Mr. Edwards and the three Ingalls girls are eating supper, Mr. Edwards tries to get Carrie to eat her food and he accidentally slops some of what was on the spoon onto her dress. (watch Carrie and you can see her look at it) Then, just after that, the brown spot on her dress is gone! Then back again!
