Brandon is standing behind the counter at The Peach Pit and doesn't know how he is going to handle all the customers that have arrived due to an LA tour group. Dylan walks up to Brandon and offers to help, and Brandon clearly calls him "Steve". Then Steve enters the scene a few seconds later.

Yeah, he calls Dylan "D." He does it often. It can be misheard as Steve, but it's definitely "D."
