At the end of the movie, after Earl is taken away in the ambulance, the feds are talking to Jack. They then ask him to take the cab back to the impound yard. When Jack says he doesn't have a license, he has an envelope in his hand. When the feds say that they are giving him his license, they hand him the envelope. It's the same envelope! If he already had it then why did they give it to him?
