Youngblood - Penalty Shot/Clock Problems?
At the end of the movie when Dean is hooked down and awarded a penalty shot. The clock shows 3 seconds left in the game. He scores a goal and the announcer says that it came at 13:57 of the final period of the game. Time is counted down so as if he scored 13:57 into the period. If he scored with 3 seconds to go that would mean they only played a 14 minute period. A regulation hockey period is 20 minutes. Also announcers usually do not say that it is the final period. They will say what period it is. Because what if he missed and it goes to overtime, then there would be more periods to play.
