In the episode "The Crystal Skull", Murdock has to walk across hot coals to prove himself imortal. With the help of Frankie, he is successful. When he steps off the coals, he is barefooted and his feet are burnt. He can barely walk. The bad guys come along and knock him and the others out. The show goes to a comercial with them lying there and Murdock is still barefooted. When the show comes back from the comercial, Murdock wakes up and starts running. This time he has shoes on, plus he can run without it hurting him.
