In the episode "Whom Gods Destroy" after Garth throws a fit in Kirk form, after he turns back into himself you can see what appears to be a coin fly out of his RIGHT hand and roll to the right. The coin is still in view, until after they zoom out

Yes. Garth wears a large large ring during this episode. During the scene described, a piece of the ring breaks off and spins around on the floor.
