In the final scene of Smokin Aces, FBI Agent Messner pulls the plugs on both Isreal's and Sparraza's life support ventilators. Both convulse and die. Sparraza has an endotracheal breathing tube so his respirations were being controlled by the ventilator and he would die without it. Isreal only has an oxygen mask (no breathing tube) so he would be breathing on his own, not controlled by the ventilator. Therefore, pulling the plug on him would not kill him.
