After Gus is shot by the indians towards the end of the movie, both he and Pea Eye are shooting Henry model 1860's. Pea Eye goes for help. Gus decides to walk out on his own using his rifle as a crutch. But it is now an old single shot rifle instead of the Henry repeater that he had earlier.
