No Country for Old Men - The Window Should Be Broken
Chigurh's shotgun fires a group of pellets. The pattern of pellets can be clearly seen when he shoots the wall in the motel room in Del Rio. Later Chigurh goes to an office building and shoots the man that hired him in the throat. Since Chigurh was farther away from the man than he was from the wall in the motel room, the pattern of pellets that hits the man should be larger than the pattern that hit the hotel room wall. This implies that at least one pellet must have missed the man which should have resulted in breaking the window behind him.

If you read the book, they are very specific as to the bird shot Chigurh used to shoot the Stephen Root character. Low powered ammo, right in the throat, just like the movie showed. It's safe to assume that in a high-rise building and from Chigurh's distance to the window that the shot he used wouldn't shatter the tempered glass window.
