In the final episode of season 7, (the one where Dr. Cox describes life at the hospital in the form of a fairy tale), where J.D. (known as the village idiot) and Elliot (known as the princess) are on a search for the golden ring. They encounter two wood nymphs representing interns from a previous episode. One of them looks up to J.D. and says "Whats up Braff?" Zach Braff is the guy who plays J.D., not the character himself.
