Martin Sheen decides to join an assault on a Viet Cong village, where he will meet Colonel Kilgore. As the U.S. forces attack we see a long, sweeping shot showing Amtracs driving onto the beach, troops running forward, helicopters flying around, explosions AND the shadow of the camera and cameraman for a few seconds.
