I am Legend - Giants Vs. Patriots
In the beginning of the movie, it (the camera) is focused on the news. At the time it is discussing sports while scrolling news bits at the bottom of the screen; it is supposed to be during the present time (2008). One of the bits that comes across says, "Patriots beat Giants for the second time this season."
Here is the problem: The Patriots play in the NFL's AFC (Conference). The Giants play in the NFL's NFC. The only way that these two could have faced each other twice would have been if they met in the Super Bowl (which ironically enough they will). However, if the two teams had just played in the Super Bowl, then the scrolling headline should have/would have read more along the lines of "Patriots defeat Giants in Super Bowl XLII" which wouldn't have even taken place yet according to the timeline of the movie.

Check the teams scores/schedule page. They played during the preseason on August 30 and again in the regular season on December 29.

But, OKBlue, they do not count postseason victories or losses as part of the season total, nor do they advertise postseason victories during the regular season such as in this case. This is obvious.

Actually in the film the virus is released in 2009. The movie came out in 2007. Not a huge difference, admittedly. However, they were actually shooting a scene that took place 2 years in the future. Just because they're prediction of interconference play/changing of the conferences/reporting of preseason games/etc. didn't come true doesn't really make it a slipup.
