In Episode 6 - "Bastogne" - on Disc 3, in the scene where the weather has cleared and Allied aircraft are flying over Easy Company's position near Bastogne, the Allied fighter planes shown flying overhead are P-47 Thunderbolts - so far, so good. When a pair of Thunderbolts dives and strafes the red smoke marking the front of Easy's position, there are two lines of bullets kicking up dirt where they strike the ground - but the Thunderbolt carried EIGHT .50-cal machine guns, four in each wing - so there should have been eight lines of dirt splashes where the bullets were hitting the ground.
