Star Trek: Generations - "I Also Dug Up This Old Uniform..."
In STAR TREK: GENERATIONS, through the course of the film, most of the main cast slowly change from the old "solid colour" uniforms to the newer "black/coloured shoulder" uniforms. By halfway through the movie, Captain Picard has already changed to the NEW style of uniform, and remains in this uniform for the rest of the movie. However, in the final scenes where the crew are digging through the wreckage of the Enterprise D, the Captain is now back to wearing an old style "solid colour" uniform.
The reason this is not logical is that:
-Starfleet would have discontinued making those uniforms (to introduce the new ones)
-Captain Picard would have had to find his old uniform in all the wreckage, which would probably have been soiled and torn from the ship being damaged
-If the Captain needed a new uniform, he would have replicated one onboard the rescue ship, which would have been a new-style uniform

I wouldnt call this a slip up. I served in the Marine Corp around the time when we switched to the new digital camo pattern. You would always see both patterns around. There was a specific date when everyone had to be sswitched over to the new pattern. And most Marines didnt buy all the sets of cammies at once, they are kinda expensive. But knowing that in Star Trek they dont really use money, maybe Capt. Picard only had one uniform replicated. And considering he got the new one dirty, he probably wanted to change into something clean, and thats all he had.
