Birds, The - How Many Seats in That Car?
Throughout the entire movie, Tippi Hedron is driving around in this 2 seater car. When she pulls up to the school teachers house in the beginning, the camera clearly shows only 2 seats, no backseat and 2 in the front with a shifter on the floor. However, at various times, we see a backseat. When Cathy is picked up by Mitch and Tippi at the dead school teacher's house, she sits in the front with them. How is that possible with only 2 seats. At the very end, they ALL pile in the car with Tippi and Lydia, the mother sitting in...a backseat!!
A strange and very obvious slip-up for Alfred Hitchcock to miss!

Melanies car is a Aston-Martin DB2/4. Only 103 were produced. The '2/4' indicate that there are 2 versions. The 2 seater and the 2+2 seater. Melanie has the 2+2 seater. Therefore she COULD carry the 4people in the car as shown in the closing scene.
