Langoliers, The - "Deserted" LA
In the scene where the remaining passengers are about to land in LA in the fututre, someone looks out the window and says something about the city being completely deserted just like Maine in the past. If you look closely on the ariel shot of LA, you can see that the roads have a normal flow of cars on them.

Ariel was not in this movie. That was "the Little Mermaid".

Well, isn't it true that the plane and the thing they used to refuel it are vehicles? Well, maybe vehicles are not affected by the phenomena that affected the people. That would explain the cars also being on the freeway...

The difference between the airplane and the cars that are not supposed to be there is that the airplane is traveling from a different time whereas the cars should be in their time and not the future like the plane. Think about what you said: if vehicles were not affected, then why weren't there any cars at the airport? Or even any planes? And I agree...it's spelled "aerial".
