Friends - Its So Weird...rachel Chandler/joey
Rachel met Chandler 3 times, and each time she met him it was like they never met.
1) First it wasin the very first episode of friends..when she ran away from her wedding, where Monica introduced Rachel to everyone and also to Chandler.
2)The second time was in the flashback, when Chandler was trying to hit on Rachel..that is when she was engaged to barry..and wanted to have meaningless s*x with some one..and chandler comes in
3)The third time was during the Thanksgivings, when Ross brought Chandler home and introduced him to his family and Rachel
and then again..
she once made out with chandler during highschool dance?
correct me if i am wrong..

My take on this whole thing. When Rachel comes into the coffee house in the pilot and Monica introduces her to everyone. She says "This is Chandler". She doesn't say "This is Chandler, someone you've never met before and are meeting now for the first time in your life". Maybe Monica didn't remember that Rachel had met Chandler before, which could be why she doesn't say anything about her knowing him. Rachel has just run out on her wedding, I'd imagine she had a lot more on her mind than remembering some guy she met years ago. And Chandler may have remembered her, but just didn't bother to say anything.

Rachel and Chandler also had a brief encounter in college. Matt makes a credible case. It would require a fair level of absent-mindedness on the part of the characters, but it is certainly possible.

Actually, the second time is correct. The episode is called The One with the Flashback and Rachel must have remembered Chandler because at the end of the Episode she had a wild fantasy about him.

The second example that is sited is wrong. That episode is called The One That Could Have Been. Everything that happened in that episode is fiction, none of it actuallly happened. It is a fantasy episode.
