Golden Girls, The - Sex Change
In the episode "The Truth Will Out," Charley Jr. is introduced as a girl. However, when Kirsten and Charley Jr. call to wish Rose a happy Mother's Day in the "Mother's Day" episode, Charley Jr. is a boy. And I quote, "It's Charley, Jr. He says it's cold in Minnesota."
Editor's note: This is an inconsitency between episodes, and thus not a slip-up. However, with it being such a huge difference, I will allow it to be posted.

not only that, but in the episode where Kirsten and Charley Jr come to visit, they fly in from St. Olaf. however, in the episode where Rose has a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital, only family is allowed to visit--and "Kirsten lives over an hour away."

The Charley who calls her is her son. The girl who comes to visit her is her grandchild. They are two separate people.

Charlie Jr. is her son calling her for mothers day. The grand daughter is Charley named after her grandfather but she has no junior in her name.

of course, it is possible that Kirsten's husband is also "Charley;" therefore, her daughter would be "Charley Jr."

Yeah Charlie Jr is her son. Why would her granddaughter be called Charlie Jr!? A grandchild wouldn't be a Jr anyway, just your own child.

At one point, Rose mentioned having five children: Brigid, Gunilla, Kiersten, Adam and Charlie, Jr. It was obviously her son who called.
