Towards the end, during the start of the last game for the Division Championship, John Candy said "We're one game away from winning the Divisional Championship and then it's on to the World Series!" Anyone who knows baseball knows this is wrong. To get to the World Series, they would also have to play a series with the other division champions. THAT winner would go on to the World Series.
