Green Beret - Improper .50 cal Belt Feed!
DVD
1. CH#13 0:01:46 to 0:01:50.
2. CH#14 0:00:00 to 0:00:06.
3. CH#14 0:00:26 to 0:00:30.
#1: MSG Muldoon is supervising the incorrect loading of the M-2 .50 cal(It's kinda hard to see. You veterens know 50's feed brass from left eject links to right.)
#2: While MSG Muldoon is looking around and talking he sees this 'soldier' close the breech cover down and the brass is on the right hand side.(When you see this you'll choke on your drink and spit it all over the TV screen.)
#3: And if I'm not mistaken, in this picture/Sceen as also in #2 there's no charging handle on the right hand side of the weapon! It's completely inoperative!

The first two "slip-ups" you mentioned are no slip-ups at all! "Because the M2 was intentionally designed to be fit into many configurations, IT CAN BE ADAPTED TO FEED FROM THE LEFT OR THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE WEAPON (look at some dual and quad .50 setups, you'll see .50s feeding from the right as well as some single .50s too) by exchanging the belt-holding pawls, and the front and rear cartridge stops (3-piece set to include link stripper), then reversing the bolt switch. The operator must also convert the top-cover belt feed slide assembly from left to right hand feed as well as the spring and plunger in the feed arm. This will take a well trained individual less than two minutes to perform." But the .50 M2HB can feed from the right side.

True, but the brass was still (upside down).

So, can the M-2 be ADAPTED to fire upside down links?

You guys really need to LOOK at the way the belt is being fed, IT IS WRONG. Any veteran 'especially combat veteran' could see that. Enhance the frames if you have to and look, First of all IT'S UPSIDE DOWN! Any basic training recruit could see that. And yes there are right feeds.(FOR TWIN MOUNTS) I didn't see a twin mount? WHY would you have a single mount gun with a right to left feed in a HMG position? The answer is You Don't and you never will for a single gun. It has been and always will be US doctrine left to right feed. Just like the M60, M249, M240, .30 cal the list goes on. SO DO ME A FAVOR AND FIND SOMEONE WHO HAS ACTUALLY FIRED ONE OF THESE M-2's(BTW Call of Duty Doesn't count) AND SHOW THEM THE FOOTAGE.
