Shrek 2 - Time Travel
In Shrek 2, at the beginning, it takes Shrek, Fiona and Donkey days and miles to reach Far Far Away. Closer to the end when shrek and people are in jail, back at the swamp, gingy and pinochio and people are watching the t.v. and see that shreak and those people are in jail, and it only takes them seconds to make it to Far Far Away. it doesnt make any sense!!

i wonder if it only took hours to get to far far away. donkey is impatient and could have made it seem like days long with all his complaining. and of course shrek doesnt want to go so he makes it seem like it takes forever also.

Yeah. I have noticed that too. I really don't know what happened. Maybe some sort of fairy tale or hollywood majic or something.

It seems to be a general rule of animation to "never let continuity considerations get in the way of a good gag". Far Far Away is a long way from the swamp at the beginning of the movie in order to have all those "are we there yet?" gags, but it's close to the swamp near the end because that's what suits the action of that part best. As for a rational explanation, maybe in fairytale lands the terrain sometimes rearranges itself. :-)
