Just after Nora encounters the guy from the card shop, she goes to a restaurant with her two friends. As the card guy comes in and sits at the next table, listening in, Nora tells her friends simply that they are taking a break from Christmas.

Her friend then asks her when they're leaving. Nora never mentioned a cruise at that point, so why would she assume they were leaving to go anywhere?
