In more than one episode, and sometimes between commercials, we see KITT heading towards the camera at "incredible" speed. It's obvious that they shot the film at normal speed, then played it back at double speed, to give the illusion that KITT is super-fast. The problem is that the red "death ray" on KITT's hood is oscillating at double speed. How hard would it have been to put a half-speed setting on that death ray for scenes where they knew they would be speeding up the playback?
