About a third of the way through movie, two policemen are riding in their police car when the car windows shatter because of the effect of the ray gun Fred MacMurray is aiming in their direction. Because they can't see where they are going, the car veers into a river.

When first seen, the car is a Ford from the middle 1950s. When it is seen in the river, it has grown several years younger and is now a Ford from the early 60s.
