Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith - Hoody
Ok in Chapter 39 "Yoda Visits the Emperor," Yoda confronts the Emperor and blocks his way out. Yoda says "Faith in your new apprentice, misplaced may be; as is your faith in the Dark side of the force". The Emperor raises his lightsaber over his head, then Yoda leaps over him. As he does so watch closely as the Emperor's hood falls completely back, Yoda lands, and it immediately goes to a wide shot, where they cross sabers and his hood is back up as if nothing happened.

I don't think he'd waste his time to use the force on his hood when he's battling a Master Jedi like Yoda. He'd more concerned with not making a mistake.
